The company was founded in 2022, and they currently have a 100% remote team of 25+. They have 90+ active clients across industries such as Consulting, Marketing, Healthcare, SaaS, Info Products, Ecommerce, Cybersecurity, B2B Agencies, Home Services, Law Firms, and more. Their clients are typically anywhere from $1MM - $30MM in annual revenue.

Our client  strives to be "The Bentley of Accounting Firms'' for their market. They're experiencing quick growth and are looking for Top Tier accountants and financial professionals to Squad Up with them.

Role Overview

As a Staff Accountant your mission is to equip the clients with accurate financial statements so we can provide them with the financial insights they need to grow their business. You will accomplish this by:

• Categorizing Transactions: Ensuring transactions are accurately categorized into the proper accounts. Making sure the chart of accounts is optimized for both business growth and tax analysis.

• Reconciling Bank Accounts: Utilize bank statements to reconcile the bank accounts with the accounting software to ensure 100% accuracy.

• Documenting: Religiously update the project management system to reflect the status of each clients tasks. Update client internal channels with any relevant information the team should know about. Create SOP's relevant to your role as you tackle new challenges.

• Following Task Schedule: Follow your outlined client categorization schedule. Every client is to get categorized at least once per week.

• Regular Team Check-Ins: Report progress and bring questions to management when they arise. Meet with team lead multiple times per week. Weekly meetings with the full team to ensure we're on the same page and operations are running smoothly.

• Daily and Weekly Recaps: Fill out end of day and end of week forms summarizing your work preformed, upcoming work, roadblocks, and ways we can improve.

• Miscellaneous Accounting Tasks: There are some occasional clients where AP/AR/Payroll will be required

Requirements:

• Expert in QuickBooks Online

• Strong Understanding of How Categorizations Affect Financial Statements

• Ability to Optimize Chart of Accounts

• Ability to Make Adjusting Journal Entries

• Resourceful & Adaptable Mindset

• Strong Attention to Detail

• Reliable Internet and Quiet Office Space

• Tech Setup for Remote Work (Webcam, Microphone)

• Experience with Google Workspace (Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets)

• Available to Work a Full Time Schedule

Bonus Experience

• Certifications: QBO, Xero, EA, FathomHQ, Etc.

• Bachelors/Masters Degree in Accountancy or Relevant Field

• Experience with Any of the Following Tools

• Slack

• Karbon

• Uncat

• FathomHQ

• Acodei

• A2X

• Synder

• Zoom

• AirTable

• Experience Working in a Startup/Fast Paced Environment

• Baseline Tax Knowledge

• Familiarity with Online Business Models
