FP&A Support
If you’re an FP&A-minded finance professional who loves building models, structuring data, and making CFOs look good, we’d love to meet you.
About Our Client
Our client is hiring an FP&A-focused to support our client’s growing team of fractional CFOs. This role is all about taking the heavy lifting of reporting and forecasting off the CFOs’ plates so they can spend more time advising clients.
Role Overview
You will own the preparation and formatting of financial reports and 13-week cash flow forecasts across a portfolio of home service clients. You’ll work closely with our CFOs, pulling and structuring the data they need, building models, and ensuring everything is “ready to rock” before client meetings.
This is a hands-on, detail-oriented FP&A role with significant autonomy, but without day-to-day client-facing responsibilities (at least initially).
Key Responsibilities
Build, update, and format recurring financial reporting packages for CFOs
Prepare and maintain 13-week cash flow forecasts for multiple clients
Pull and compile data from QuickBooks Online and other sources into Excel/Google Sheets
Structure and standardize templates, models, and reports to align with the CFO playbook
Perform quality checks on data and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness
Support ad-hoc analysis requests from CFOs (trend analysis, scenario modeling, etc.)
Coordinate with seniors/staff accountants to ensure underlying books are closed and ready for reporting
Help refine and document SOPs for forecasting and reporting workflows
Ideal Background
3–5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or similar role
Strong understanding of core accounting and finance concepts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, working capital)
Experience building and maintaining cash flow forecasts (13-week preferred)
Prior experience supporting a CFO / finance leader or working in a multi-client environment (agency, consulting, outsourced accounting, etc.) is a plus
Exposure to service-based or home service businesses is a plus
Skills & Tools
Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills:
Complex formulas, linked workbooks, pivots, basic modeling
Strong formatting and presentation of financials
Comfortable working with:
QuickBooks Online (or similar accounting software)
Slack and Zoom for communication
Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office
Ability to quickly learn new tools (e.g., Karbon, payment and expense tools, etc.)
Who You Are
Highly detail-oriented with strong ownership over accuracy and completeness
Autonomous and proactive – you anticipate needs and next steps without constant direction
Comfortable working from playbooks and SOPs, but also improving them over time
Strong communicator in an async, remote-first environment
Outcome-focused – you care more about producing high-quality work on time than clocking specific hours
Willing to occasionally put in discretionary effort (e.g., busy weeks, board/audit prep)
Work Environment
Remote, high-trust, outcome-based culture
Flexible schedule (no strict 9–5 as long as deliverables are met)
Regular internal touchpoints:
