Customer Operations Specialist

About Our Client
Our client is a U.S.-based CPG company focused on low-sugar snacks. They currently sell five product lines omni-channel, with national distribution across the United States, including retailers such as Whole Foods, Costco, Amazon, and 7-Eleven, among others. The company operates with an agile and growing structure, with teams distributed across the U.S. and Argentina.
Role Overview
This role will be critical in owning end-to-end order execution, reducing operational risk, improving service levels, and building a more resilient and scalable operational structure as the company advances toward increased automation.
This is a highly hands-on role with full ownership of daily execution, focused on reliability, accuracy, and operational discipline. The position will be responsible for ensuring that customer and consumer orders are processed, fulfilled, and delivered according to service expectations, while serving as a key operational counterpart to Accounting to ensure timely, accurate, and predictable information flows.
Key Responsibilities
Order & Delivery Ownership
● Own all customer and consumer orders from receipt to final delivery.
● Enter and manage customer orders in the system with accuracy and discipline.
● Schedule, coordinate, and track all customer shipments.
● Pick lots, determine lot codes, and ensure full traceability.
● Coordinate with 3PLs, warehouses, and transportation providers.
● Book and manage freight with brokers and carriers
Customer & Issue Resolution
● Maintain operational relationships with customers and consumers.
● Resolve delivery issues, shortages, damages, and claims.
● Support customer onboarding from an operational standpoint.
● Support liquidation and distressed sale processes.
● Create and maintain SOPs for order processing, fulfillment, and issue resolution
Inventory & Master Data
● Manage customer inventory and make allocation recommendations.
● Maintain master spec sheets (pricing, SKUs, active items, specs).
● Create and maintain listings across 3PLs, ecommerce fulfillment, and Amazon FBA.
Service Level & Performance
● Issue daily operational status reports.
● Monitor and improve:
○ OTIF
○ Case Fill Rate
○ On-Time Delivery
○ Customer Satisfaction
● Proactively communicate service risks and supply constraints.
Process & Automation
● Identify cost savings and efficiency opportunities.
● Prepare workflows for automation (EDI, NetSuite, Unis, AI tools).
● Strengthen operational controls and documentation.
Requirements
● 3+ years of experience in Customer Operations, Order Management, Revenue Operations,
Supply Chain Operations, or similar roles.
● Exposure to ERP systems (NetSuite or similar).
● Strong execution mindset with high attention to detail.
● Comfortable owning operational processes end-to-end.
● Experience working cross-functionally with Finance/Accounting teams.
● Ability to operate in environments that are evolving and not yet fully structured.
● Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
● Clear written and verbal communication skills.
● Comfortable working with systems and operational data.
Nice to Have
● Experience in e-commerce, consumer goods, or high-volume transactional environments.
● Experience with EDI workflows, or automation tools and ERP.
● Experience helping design or improve operational processes.
● Prior involvement in system implementations or migrations.
